The Papillion Institute of Art (P.I.A.) continues its 2011 season with the visually venerable exhibit “Introspection: India,” the debut solo exhibition by photographer Chenoa Maxwell. The opening reception will be held Thursday, March 10, 2011 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Michelle Joan Papillion founder of P.I.A. explains the significance of the exhibit, “I was intrigued by how Chenoa captured the people of India; refreshing and equally seems very sentimental. I had never seen photographs that captured the “now” moment of this place. The work is just exquisite!” An accomplished actress, Maxwell’s unique approach to photography is influenced by her travels. She states, “I travel the world and am drawn to recording life stories in natural light. Light is the essence of everything. Without it you cannot see.” More of her work can be found at And she can be found on Twitter at
